Lake rotokare at night

Friday night as the weather holds up Mum, Ben, Lochie, the Kalins and me set off with our torches to lake Rotokare for a exclusive night tour. We had a lot of fun with first having a talk about the sounds of different kiwis and More porks and safety rules then we set out half way across the lake learning about plants and bugs and trying to listen out for birds such as the 26 pairs of kiwis and More porks but also hearing a lot of many other birds. It was slippery on the track but lots of fun even just being there was the best experience I have ever had of the cold harsh wild. We even saw the beautiful glow worms so get out into the wild it is heaps of fun.

  1. It was a great night Lexi, I knew you and the boys would love the experience - and we had chocolate too!
